The new rim does make a difference, being much easier to control than the original one that comes with the Thrustmaster TX base. Is not as good if you need to rotate more than 180 degrees each side, but for most race cars should be fairly good. I've been using it on Project Cars and Forza Motorsport on all types of cars without any issue.
Unfortunately, after using it for a while I felt that the paddles, because they are metal, feel a bit weird to touch (at least for me), even when using fingerless gloves.
Therefore, I've made a small update to the paddles.
